Painted Hardtop for 2007 Wrangler

3 Attachment(s)
Hey guys,

I own a 2007 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited X and I was looking to see to spice it up a bit. I'm hoping to stay with this car for a while and I love how the new jeeps have the same color hardtops :thumb: I was wondering where I could find myself one of these painted hardtops for the best price (so I came to the experts :D).
But the first order of business is to figure out what color my jeep is. I can't seem to put my finger on it.

Take it to a body shop, they'll sand it smooth and paint it.

Yes, If your going to paint it then do it right!!!!!!

You can get a copy of the build sheet on the Jeep site with your VIN. That should tell you the color. It does not seem like one of the colors offered now, so finding a used matching top May be hard.

Your paint code is on your drivers door.

that color was not offered on the 11+, so you have to paint yours

get a body shop to paint it, then attend to your washed out fenders and door handles.. :)

I think you jeep is Steel Blue Metallic.

Correct....and there are no hardtops that are painted that color. Just have it painted. And paint the fenders while you're at it.

PS....It looks like somebody has waxed the door handles and the fenders. There is probably something that will remove the wax from the door handles, but I don't remember what it is. Those should never be waxed. None of the black parts should.

Yeah I noticed the guy who washes my car waxed them... Thanks for the response guys! I'll be doing this this weekend for sure! I'll make sure to post pictures!
