Floor Mat Question

So I am a little disappointed in the Mopar slush mats that cost $95.:banghead: The drivers one just does not cover as much of the carpet as I would like. It seems like they could have made it go further up on the right side so it went up a little way on the tranny tunnel. So my question is could you post a pic of a better mat set that gives more carpet coverage?

Seems like the Quadratec mat is about the same width according to the pics. However the Husky molded floor liner seems to offer the widest coverage that I have seen so far.

Weathertech?

Hmmm... Looked at the link. Wish they would actually show the liner in the vehicle they are selling it for. The pic is in a Toyota.:nonono:

Does look like it is a wider mat for sure.

Go back to the link. On the right side of the page where its says Select Set, click on the pic for 1st Row. The pic is from a Jeep.

Yep you right!:doh::doh::doh:

Damn internet websites. LOL

SuperTJ 03-22-2013 08:14 PM

I had weather tech in my 2004 tj and they cover the whole floor. I will see if I can find a picture.

The husky doesn't have deep lugs so your shoes are up out of the water/mud.

I own the rugged ridge mats. They're perfect.

Except they don't cover the area under the throttle pedal.

JEEPbug 03-22-2013 08:21 PM

Went to local shop and found the rugged ridge mats for 100. Took out the wallet and realized that they wanted 100 for just the front mats!! I went on eBay and found the entire set for 100. I put them in today and I HIGHLY recommend these. The back is a one piece that covers the entire rear floor and there is no carpet exposed in the front. Rugged Ridge got it right.

dieselgiant 03-22-2013 09:27 PM

Could you take a pic of the fronts for me and post it?:thumb:

JEEPbug 03-22-2013 09:31 PM

When I get back home Ill do that. Out on the town in the wife's Cadillac. If to intoxicated Ill try to get it on here in the morning.

ryanlamp 03-22-2013 09:38 PM

Here are the pics of Rugged Ridge mats. Sorry if they aren't the best. Still recovering from last night.

Senior Chief 03-23-2013 09:54 AM

I have the Mopar and am changing to Weathertech

Here are my new Quadratecs. Again, no protection behind the accelerator pedal. They're much better than the mopar mats.

RepoMan73 03-23-2013 11:52 AM

I replaced the MOPAR ones with Rugged Ridge and I love them. I think they look better than that strange tire track pattern anyways.

dieselgiant 03-23-2013 03:33 PM

So far it looks like the weathertech has the best coverage especially under the accelerator pedal.

Sebas 03-23-2013 03:40 PM

got the ruged ridge. same as quadratek. very satisfied with them. they do a good job of keeping the snow mud and salt (live up in canada) away from the carpet

Lucy Brown 03-23-2013 03:42 PM

None of them are perfect. Mine came with the Mopar mats. I wouldnt waste the money to switch them out. They look fine and do the job. If there was a perfect solution I probably would make the switch but there is none at the moment.

OrangeJeepGuy 03-26-2013 11:06 AM

Do the Rugged Ridge ones come with a lifetime warranty like the Quadratec ones?

Hokieneer 03-26-2013 11:47 AM

Here are my weathertech's they have great coverage and seem to be very high quality, they are more expensive but they hold up for a really long time had a set in my old jeep for 14 years and they are still good

The Jeep mud pattern floor mats on Amazon are nice and they are ~$60.

Ok the weathertech coverage looks to be just what I am looking for!:thumb:

Dozer13JK 03-26-2013 01:01 PM

I just made the switch from the MOPAR slush mats to the Husky floor liners. I really like them. They aren't as thick as the slush mats, but they have a tall "lip" all the way around which would contain water, dirt, spills, etc.. much better. They were a little pricey but they have a good fit and cool looking diamond plate pattern to them.

they are great mats and give a lot of protection I am really happy with them

Don26 03-26-2013 05:24 PM

I got the Rugged Ridge mats and am very happy with them. I would recommend drilling out the hook hole. When I first put them in I just notched it and had a hell of a time getting them out.

dieselgiant 03-26-2013 06:55 PM

Amazon has the Weathertech fronts on sale for $97 with free shipping! So I am going to grab a set.

Miser 03-26-2013 09:09 PM

I purchased mine from O'Riley's auto parts for $29.95. This is front only, rubber with Jeep Logo on them and they cover the complete carpet area. They are really a quality mat!

dieselgiant 03-30-2013 09:16 AM

I just got the Weathertech
liners in and boy what a difference! They cover so much more floor area and fit perfect.
