hp30 will it fit?

Have 97 TJ, 2 1/2" spring lift, 1.25" body and Under Cover Fab ultra high clearance TT.

Will a HP dana 30 fit?

Why not?

From what you have said it should just bolt in.

spiboarder 03-23-2013 08:17 PM

are there any clearance issues?

The HP -30 drive shaft sits higher, other than that it's the same axle.

A little off topic here but are you using the UCF lowpro mount? Did you have any issues with the fitment of the skid? I'm installing both and having to do a lot of modification.

Clearance with what? The driveshaft just sits higher. It should actually help clearance unless you have some kind of insane uptravler or something weird hanging low.

I was under the impression, probably false, that the stock driveshaft would be slightly too long with a hp30 if the jeep is at stock height.

i cycled the axle and checked the shaft travel. mine was fine, your results may differ depending on your setup....which is why you cycle the axle during the install process.
