Weld in roll bar kit?
 
So i was told by a buddy of mine that he has a "weld in roll bar kit" that is for my 99 TJ.
He said that it replaces everything from the cross member forward and instead of bolting to the windshield it is bent and you have to cut a hole in the dash and then weld it to your floor board of cut through and weld to the frame.

Anyone ever heard of this?
How much do they run?

Doesn't poision spyder make a more inexpensive verision of the $700 cage on this site?

I need to do a cage too, so I've been looking.

Can't decide if I need an entire new cage or a weld-in supplement. $$$ is a factor, but not THAT much of a factor as me and mine lifes are worth the extra few hundy.

Is the rock hard bolt in stuff tip worthy too? I'm trying to decide between the weld-in, rock hard and having a local welder start cutting tube.

The RockHard bolt in carge is probably good for a small flop. The Gen-Right cage has been proven... but if you are serious about protection, check out Ygohome's thread. He had a local guy build his cage, and tossed his TJ end over end with only scratches on the cage.

Well see the one he said he had for me you had to take off the bar above the doors. and weld in a new one that instead of mounting to the windshield it bent and went to the frame.
I'm not going to be doing any wheeling so im not sure if i wanna take the time to install it or sell it or trade it for something i can use on my DD.
Thats why i was wondering on prices
