suspension

Hey everyone, I have a 95 yj and it dosnt have an independent suspension. Is that something I should leave the way it is, or look into changing?

you would be better off getting a newer jeep rather than converting because of cost effectiveness.. I see a lot of people saying if they remove their trac bars it makes for a little better ride with the leaf spring. haven't done it myself yet but have been toying with that idea.

Thanks for the advice. Im pretty motor savvy but everything else is learn as I go. Also I wasnt sure if I needed independent to lift it more than 4"

By independent do you mean coils and links or do you mean actual ifs like a arms or i beams? And yes you can go way higher the 4" with the leaf springs.

As for taking off the trac bars i would do it. I did and love it. Here is stock suspension flexing with no trac bars or sway bar

Yea coils and links. I just know that if I lift too high, ill have to lower the tbox and all that and was trying to get a feel for what id be getting myself into. Track bar something I can do myself? Thats a nice rig btw!

Thanks its got a way to go bit its a start. And yeah there are two bolts on each trac bar it is easy to remove. It is the bar that is hooked to the axle on one side and the frame on the other. The trac bar serves no purpose on leaf springs
