Bikini Top

Hey, I'm looking to buy a bikini top for the summer. I was wondering where is a good place to buy a new one online? Thanks!! :)

SuperTJ 03-27-2013 09:32 AM

I use Morris 4x4 Center for a lot of stuff. I also like the SpiderWeb bikini top. You can leave on under the tops and doesn't need a header. I had one on my 2010 and loved it. Now I will put one on my 2006 TJL.

I've got a Spiderweb TJKini Trail Mesh....love it. Still lets some air through, but blocks 90% of the sun. I've had it for a few years. Think I bought it at All Things Jeep.com for around $50

ok thank you!!

A little late, but i think this top is just awesome.

Hey that's pretty sweet! I'm seriously thinking about one of these.
Plus the Jammock girl is pretty hot. I'm easily sold on good looking women

Thanks, I'll be sure to tell her! We're getting married in August, I hope to "carry her over my running boards" on the way out!

Any future ideas for the Unlimited LJ?
I could be the test vehicle:D....I think with the longer wheel base that could be awesome!:punk:

Eitherway looks good.

Can you explain the question a little more? I don't understand--the Jammock fits the LJ as is right now, so there's no issue, unless I'm missing something.

I have a Bestop Bikini top that I bought out of the Quadratec catalog. I like it.
Only problem is Qtec sends me a new catalog, seems like every 2 weeks.

Fireaxe 04-10-2013 10:34 PM

I guess I was thinking of it running the long way but yeah I guess it does.
Cool product...

I would totally be in for one if getting my safari top off/on wasn't a 3-person, heat gun, 80 degrees, vice-loc adventure in hell.

I completely understand and feel your pain. I just got a new JKU with the 3-piece hardtop, specifically so I can EASILY pop the front top off and Jammock. The 3-piece isn't as cool as a Safari top, but it's damn easier to uninstall. I also do not have a garage, so leaving the top off year-round is not an option (that and because of, you know, snow).

I don't have a garage, too, but sold the hardtop anyways (in CA atm though, and the TJ heaters spit fire).

However, I think this provides a great opportunity for you to produce a better one :) specifically for us TJ guys.

I'll even tell ya how to make it: waterproof top material and sew a metal or plastic strip into the edge (e.g., like the one that would normally go in the channel of the door surround). Fasten some clamps to it or hook points for clamps (like those on a typical tool box). The clamps then have a portion that fits in the door surround channel and pull the top taunt when closed. If you wanted a more waterproof version, sew a second piece of the waterproof top material along that seam and include a typical channel guide strip along the other edge. Fasten some clamps between the two strips to clamp everything down on the outside like above and bingo, you're done. I'd buy yesterday.

One thing at a time. It's just me at the moment. I'd send that to Bestop or someplace similar.
