Lights still dim at idle.

Ok I have done the "big 3" upgrade and an upgraded wire harness to the headlights so I'm getting maximum voltage to the bulbs and the lights are still slightly dimmer at idle in drive, foot on the brake.

So, do I:
1. Accept it because that's how it is?
2. Optima battery? (Parts counter dude said these will stop the dimming)
3. Upgraded higher-output alternator?

Thanks in advance.

Nothing?

Have you tested the alternator to see if its working as it should? Sounds like not enough output at idle. If the alternator isn't putting out enough power at idle to keep up with electrical demand, it will start to drain your battery no matter what type of battery you have.

I have not. I guess I could start there...
