Installed a set of Truck-Lite LED headlights on my TJ (TEST PICS)

First impressions are AWESOME! These things are much better than stock, and fit into my "LED lighting theme" of the rest of the stuff on my Jeep. I did some quick test pictures of the stocks vs the LEDs. While actually on the road, the LED lighting is a bit softer and blends in more than the test pics show, but they are still much brighter and throw a nice wide even pattern. They also illuminate right in front of the Jeep, which my stock ones did not do a great job of. I did notice one little hotspot in the middle, almost like a vertical squigly line, but other than that, I give these a 5 out of 5 rating (not taking the price into consideration). Install was super easy too. Took all of 5 minutes to do both lights. Straight up plug and play. I bought them off a guy on eBay for $440 shipped.

Note: I wanted this to be totally un-biased, so the test pictures were shot on full manual settings, and the settings were kept exactly the same for both pictures. This was inside a building, so there was no other lighting around. Didn't have anybody flashing their brights at me for the ride home, so they seem to be adjusted properly right out of the box.

I've been running the Truck-Lite Phase 7 LED headlamps for about 9 months now - I don't think I could be happier with them! The color of the light nearly perfectly matches high end HID systems, and the light pattern is very wide so you pick up the shoulder of the road and beyond much better than any other headlamp I've ever seen. I actually just got a compliment on how they looked just the other day too, the blacked out housings look a bit more aggressive, especially if you paint the headlight bezels black too.

Good choice in lighting!

Good to hear you're still happy with yours. I have painted my bezels black (first thing I did along with removing the chrome grill), since I really hate chrome, haha. What do you mean by "blacked out housings"? I know the reflectors have to be "chrome", but I didn't see any other options.

Theres obviously a clearer white light which is good & the spread is good to. It has good quantity of light down range as well. The only issue I see with them is the foreground light. Most people mistake that having that huge bright spot right in front of you is good, when in reality it's bad. Your eyes will see the closest brightest area first & then dialate based on that distance & that in turn affects your down range visibility. This is something that HID manufacturers have been addressing in newer projectors which is called foreground limiters. Cause in reality when your cruising down the highway at night at 55mph why would you want to see something 10ft in front of you? Theres no way you can react & avoid it. For foreground lighting thats what fogs are for. Because fogs were designed to be used in adverse weather conditions which is when you should drive slower & visibility is bad so you need to see whats right in front of you.

I'm not bashing the lights by anyway, they are an obvious improvement over stockers & I want people to be able to see better for all our sakes. I'm just tossing that info out there for you & others to think about.

I just installed them on my Tj they are great. Now with the new head lights and my 50in light bar I was able to get rid of all the bumper and A post lights for a much cleaner look.
