My TJ build
1 Attachment(s)
So I've been working on my jeep TJ for some time now. I bought it a few months ago as have been fixing it up. As a 19 year old and full time college student, I haven't been able to move it along as fast as I would like too and I don't know how to do all the mods but I'm learning. Here's my baby so far/what my files will upload due to the size of them. Sorry if quality isn't the best. I'm on my phone. Currently built long arm 6" suspension using teraflex shocks and springs and arms I made myself and using Clayton off road Johnny joint ends and 2x2 tubular steel. Rim inserts are from CMPerfomance Machining. More to pics and mods to come. Body will be on and painted yellow by the end of next week.

Good work!

Boomer1944 04-02-2013 04:07 PM

Thanks. I just realized my tires are too far out past fenders to be street legal. So now I'm going to need to design and build some new ones (metal flares) and actually make an entire body kit which will change the entire look of the wrangler. It won't look like any wrangler made before. It will take some time

this is so sick.....subscribed

Whats everyone view on this idea. Im going to be building wider flares so im going to put a running board/step similar to width to make it match and in the rear im building a flare wider with storage rack type thing on top of flare, or build it into like a rack that acts as my flare. Or if anyone else has any ideas on what to do for the rear of my wrangler to build please post your ideas. Would love to hear them. Ill look into all ideas and can build just about anything as long as I can make it out of metal (steel), no aluminum (too costly). I have everything to build anything, welders, press brake, laser table, etc. So all ideas welcomed and ill see what I can do. Thanks.

Driving again

So I removed the run flats from my tires. Had wheels centered best as possible. Took my hard top off. And installed a heavier duty Humvee steering damper shock instead of my clayton off road damper. At 70mph it's riding as smooth as can be. Feels like any other car and isn't stiff by any means. Very capable of allowing axels to travel.
