wet seats

this may seem like a dumb question, but i'm a newb, so sorry. i just got my TJ and well.. it's summer, so i want to get the top and doors off. my friend who works atthe dealer and sold it to me, has a bikini top he's giving me tomorrow. so, my question is, should i remove the carpet to keep it from getting wet? and even if that's done do i need to worry about my seats getting wet? they are just cloth stock seats. thanks in advance for the help. :o

If your carpet gets wet, as in your in a major down pour then you will infact want to remove it to let it air out, as the water.moisture will not have an easy escape. the seats, should be okay, but again repeated heavy exposeure to water will take its told, you could get some wet okley (spelling?) covers for them which would help, but int he hot weather your ass will get swamp seat from them.

What he said^^^^^. The bikini top will only protect what is directly below it in a light rain that is falling straight down... If it is windy, you will have a wet interior when you go back out to drive...

yup...but what you really want to try to do is just keep it out of the rain :D

You can pick up a trail cover for those showers that catch you off guard.

WARNING: Don't try to drive with a trail cover on! <grin>
