Holcolmb Creek - April 21

Holcolmb Creek Trail - April 21
This will be my first run in Big Bear this year. What has winter done to Holcolmb Creek trail? We will find out. I'm going to do some other trails that day as well. Stay tuned for more details.
You should have 33" tires (or larger) and some protection. At least one locker is recommended. Post up if you are interested in join in on this run.

Hey Dan that sounds tempting, but what's with the Sunday run.
Can you do it on Saturday instead.

Joe

I have inside information that Sunday will be a perfect wheeling day.

Apart from that, My wife is bring two girls from her work that are from Indiana. They will be in California for training and have to work on Saturday. One of them has a CJ5 and wants to see how the jeep trails are in the west. The other wants to sight see.:D
Also, I'm helping out with my sons Saturday High School MTB practice. After May, I can go back to Saturday runs! :thumb:
I will post up an early start time so we can get off the mountain at a reasonable time. The girls have requested that we hit a brewery on the way home, so anyone is welcome to join us for that as well...

I hope you can make it Joe. I will be posting Saturday runs soon enough;)

BillG.OTD 04-02-2013 01:30 PM

Sounds good to me, the trails change every year in Big Bear so I'm curious to see how they are. This can be a pre run to the pre run for the Forest fest Run! :)

suicideking 04-02-2013 02:11 PM

If I can't make this Sunday's Marble Cyn run, I'll probably be up for this. Otherwise, will have to see about bribing or drugging the wife... :whistling:

Dougzin 04-03-2013 02:09 AM

Would love to do this. Have never done Holcomb. I do not have a locker though.

H8-roads 04-03-2013 11:32 AM

You know I'll be there...

Dougzin 04-08-2013 12:05 AM

Will be there for sure. No locker but not ashamed to take a strap :)

crittert 04-08-2013 10:54 AM

It can be done without a locker. I made it on 33's and open last year no real problem. Just some undercarriage character marks.

I agree with Bob, you're good Vic. I did it on 33's open/open. You might need a tug in a couple spots, but you'll have fun.

Dougzin 04-13-2013 08:37 PM

Shaping up to be a good run. Can't wait! :punk:

98tj.steven 04-13-2013 09:50 PM

31's 2 1/2 lift open.
