2000 hard top 2006 jeep

So my friends gf backed up into my hardtop on my lawn and wrecked it. She is paying for a new one so I found one for $500. I have a 2006 and I found only one local and it was from a 2000. It's in ok shape but it is so much louder then my old one. Any tips on getting them to fit better? There is air rushing over the windshield into the cab.

I just sold my hardtop, so I cant remember exactly what it should look like or I'd run outside and let you know, but from what you described it sounds like either you could put new weather stripping or rubber seal up front to make it more air tight when you tighten latches, or to check the latches and make sure they are solid on the hardtop. I dont think theres any difference from the 97-02 to the 03-06 version besides the air vents in the rear. Dunno of this helps as you might have already checked those but thats where I would look first if airs coming into cab from front

If equipped with rear wiper, the plugs at the right rear are different styles

I read there is a harness adapter you can get. Kind of thinking about it until I have the $ for a newer one

When I had my hard top the rear wiper stayed disconnected, I could still see just fine out of it. I thought about doing the wiring and all but its really not bad at all without the wiper

I bought a hard top from a 2005, for my 98. It fit fine and the wiper and washer fittings both worked. As far as the OP goes, I think you just need to redo the weather stripping at the wind shield, as posted earlier.
