Center counsel subwoofer

I see a lot of posts about replacing and rewriting the center sub. I'm trying to hook mine up but the Head unit was professionally installed (previous owner). Now the sub plug is not hooked up/wired "properly". Can I still tie it in? Do I need to splice the speaker wires and tie them into the sub plug, remote wire and power, ect? I'm lost!!

All good. Got it in.

So how did you fix this? I'm currently adding a new center console with sub to my 03 TJ and I'm sure I don't have they plug in's for it so I'm gonna have to wire it up manually. So that means running 11 wires from my sub to my deck to do so.

I'm not sure how to do it without the plug into the center console from the deck. Because there's a 6 pin plug in and the wires go into the stock amp. I clipped it and by passed all the wires feom the deck straight to the plug. Not sure what the wires are beyond. They change colors into the amp/sub. Is there a stock amp in it? It may be easier to push an after market amp to it if your head unit has a mono sub out. Make sense?

If you search this forum you'll find wire diagrams and anything else you need. This forum Rocks!

Yeah the plug coming out of my sub box has 11 different wire's so I looked around and found a wiring diagram to tell me what wires are what and I've labeled them and chopped the plug off. I then ran a speed cable from there to behind my deck and I'm gonna splice into the needed wires coming from my deck. Hopefully everything will work I'll let you know if it does and probably do a write up on here to help others that are wanting to do it but don't know what to do. I completely agree everyone on here rocks and helps out tremendously I search through threads all the time to find answers.

I used the blue crimping line splicers. Easy! Good luck. It's sounds great when its all done. Huge difference.
