Expedition One DX. Have one?

If you have any knowledge on this bumper please share.
How does it look? Do you like it or not and why?

I'm really between this bumper, warn rock crawler stubby, smittybilt mod, rugged ridge, and a kilby.

Thanks

Bump

Not sure about this model, but I went and looked at a bunch of them today. I like the Expedition One bumpers the best of all. They were designed really well and are solid. I liked the AEVs till I saw the Exp Ones. They would be my first choice.

Thanks for the input. I have not been able to see any bumpers in person. So your opinion helps.

Where were you lucky enough to see them at?

Today, I went to a local shop here in the Denver area- High Country Performance 4x4. They have a bunch of them on display, which is very cool. I have seen some on people's Jeeps, but this way, I could walk around and compare several.

That is cool. I love Colorado. I bet your trails are amazing.

HK_Runner 04-06-2013 10:25 PM

Oh they are indeed. It is beautiful too. Plus, Moab is a bit over five hours away.

bvanfossen 04-06-2013 10:35 PM

Nice. I'd love to run in the Moab

I know it's not the bumper you asked about, but I have the Exp. One rear bumper and tire carrier and love it. Well built, solid, and great fit. No reason to doubt their stubby would be similar.

i was looking at them and waiting to pull the trigger,. feel like it is well priced,. will prob get the side wings as well for the fogs

Divingjeeper 04-29-2013 09:48 PM

They are a solid piece of metal. Very well made and the winch plate is built in up to a 10k. Way easiser to put on than take off the stock bumper. Any problems with install..pm me and I'll tell you what I am able. :thumb:

I don't have any experience with the DX version, but I love my Expedition One Trail Series bumpers. If you ever plan on doing a tire size larger than 37", these bumpers probably aren't going to work for you though because the front tires will start to rub the bumper without modifications in certain off-camber situations while turning. I think I can squeeze a 39" or 40" on the rear tire carrier because I still have some room between the bumper and the bottom of the spare tire.

I almost bought the DX but it looks like its missing something without a winch. You might try the LOD armor lite.
