Ocala National Forest/ Jeep newbie

Taking the wife and driving to Florida next week. I see that the Ocala National Forest has some off road trails. I have only had my Jeep for 2 months. Haven't had much experience off road, ever. My 2011 JKS is stock with 235/17" inch Wranglers. What do I need to know?, Total newb.

Not much of an offroad expert, but I play around a bit on the weekends.

From what I've found out, and what people have told me, for loose sand you want to get up a good speed (not fast, but not creeping along), and try to keep your RPMs at that level all the way through.

Whatever you do, do not try to give it more power if you start slowing down, that'll just dig you down. I've been through some pretty nasty sugar sand with normal AT tires by just keeping the RPMs steady and letting it pull its way out.

If you head past Lake City, Osceola Nat'l Forest is also a good place to ride. Get a map though, and if the water looks deep, it is. Found that out last time when I had it almost up over my headlights.
