Time for people to freak out!!

So the talk around my office all morning has been about this "blizzard" rolling into town this evening/tonight...lol It's just funny how we deal with this stuff every year but the day before a storm, everyone gets on edge. Supposed to be about 67 here in the Springs today and then 27 tomorrow. Seems like you all up in the Denver area and out East should get the big dumps. Such a typical Colorado week. :D

Agreed. You'd think people had never seen snow before. Also why I went to the store at 10pm last night and got everything I need for the next couple days as I know it's going to be a zoo soon.

Oh yeah. You see the people stocking up like they'll be stuck for years haha.

Look forward to snow in the winter, time for sping now. Hate these late nuisance storms

Timberline 04-08-2013 11:06 AM

hahaha....that is so true. Everyone says that they will get all their errands done today because the city is going to just "shut down" and places will be closed come tomorrow...bbbahahaha

Goofyjumper 04-08-2013 11:13 AM

I've noticed that before every storm all of the stores are sold out of tissues and hand lotion.

Hey... my hands are dry and I get a runny nose... :whistling:

Seriously though, I hope it passes fast. I want warm weather, not this bi-polar crap.

JOCJK 04-08-2013 11:45 AM

I took tomorrow off in preparation for a pow day. Bring on a big spring dump!

You gusy think they panic here try the south! People would clear the shelves of bread, water and canned goods a day in advance of a forecast for 1-2''. They would close schools, works, and once some roads for a FORECAST of 2'' of snow. No exaggeration.

Neal5280 04-08-2013 11:22 PM

Bring it on, I work graveyards and from 12:00 - 5:00 am I get double time/hazard pay with 8+inches. Good thing I have the Jeep to get home:D

topher38 04-08-2013 11:36 PM

For the guys talking about boarding... 1) I'm jealous. 2) I was at keystone yesterday and the weather was crazy! it was sunny and hot, then a blizzard, then sunny and hot, then a blizzard, then at the end of the day it was just dumping snow like no other. Made for a good closing day

In a way I'm lucky that I don't work and can't drive lol. While you all take time off work and "stock up" I make David go out

And then you go up north to my home state of Montana and with a foot or more, everyone is out and about and nothing closes. Complete opposite of here and the south. That's why I don't mind the snow.

I woke up this morning to find I was out of Bread and Milk...... WHY? WHY? WHY did I not go get some BREAD and MILK!?!?!?!

I woke up to find nothing on the roads but a dusting!! Now I'm at work and it's supposed to hit in about 12 min. WHY WHY WHY did I come in, now I'm probably going to be stuck here by this afternoon!!!!!!

backcountryislife 04-09-2013 11:49 AM

Holy crap... scary stuff today. got 2-9/16" of snow at 9000 feet right now. THANK GOODNESS I bought all the milk at safeway last night. :D

Rooster454 04-09-2013 12:49 PM

Hahahaha this thread cracks me up. If yall think it's bad here, you have NO IDEA. Back in Tennessee and Virginia people lose their damn minds. Gas stations run out of gas, grocery stores become completely sold out, there are thousands of trucks delivering firewood 24/7. It's hilarious. In February 2010 the DC area got 2 feet and then two days later got another 18" and everything was shut down for 10 days or so. It was fun to have a capable vehicle and be the ONLY one on the roads other than the plows :thumb:

Codysrubicon 04-09-2013 09:36 PM

Sad thing is if this was February, we'd hardly be talking about it.
