Just keep watching this tread. It will all come together as the week goes on.

I'm pretty flexible, I'm still watching the weather.

Cleveland, do you or Harley have a day that's better or not?

Tater Todd 04-09-2013 06:49 PM

This is the one weekend I watch golf. I love the masters.

Michigunman 04-09-2013 06:50 PM

First I gotta fix this, then we can talk rides. Want to meet the expanded group sometime soon.

Tater Todd 04-09-2013 06:53 PM

What is that Mark? It's small on my phone but doesn't look good.

Michigunman 04-09-2013 07:04 PM

U-joint caps and burnt up roller bearings. I'm just glad to know what the problem is. Will probably replace all 3 joints on the rear shaft to be safe. Be good to be back on the road thanks to Chris - 4bangertj.

Tater Todd 04-09-2013 07:07 PM

Where did you kill those?

Michigunman 04-09-2013 07:12 PM

No specific place. They are greasable joints that I clearly did not grease often enough. It got dry, then hot, then....not good.

Live and learn, I should know better. These joints are actualy designed so that you can pump grease through them until it comes out around the caps. Basically allowing you to flush out any contaminants.

So word to the wise, if you have any greasable u-joints in your drive shafts or front axle shafts, grease them often.

So that would make it Sunday, right? 10 am in Williams Brothers parking lot?

dee1025 04-10-2013 11:35 AM

Where is Williams brothers?

Tater Todd 04-10-2013 11:47 AM

Off 575 exit 16. Williamson Bros BBQ.

jkdreams 04-10-2013 12:55 PM

West off 575 exit 16. Williamson Bros. BBQ is straight ahead at the junction with Hwy 20. Sweetwater is about a 15 minute ride from there.

Did I say Williams Bros.? Thanks for the correction Harley.

Did you have a map for this area or were you using your GPS last time we were out there. I'd like the go all the way to the lake if we can.
