Relay for Life Run April 27

As some of you know, my wife Sandi is a two time cancer survivor. Since her complete recovery, she has become very active with the Relay For Life. She has asked a few of her friends to donate their time to assist in a short, but scenic and fun off road run. We will be going from Idyllwild down the mountain to Bee Canyon, ending the run with a fried chicken lunch provided by one of Sandi's friends. We are asking for a 10.00 donation payable at the trail end and collected by the volunteers serving the lunch.

The run its self has 2 options. One is rated as moderate, but doable with a stock vehicle. This option has a fun water crossing that is great for kids to wade in or dogs to splash around in. The second option has a short black diamond rated section that connects with the main trail just past the water crossing. The train then goes down to a public shooting range if anyone wishes to add that to their days events. From the shooting area, an easy drive to the bottom and lunch.

If anyone has any questions please feel free to post up or PM me. Thank you for taking the time to read this and helping this very important cause.

Jeff

Hey Jeff!

I can't make that run; as I'll be running the weekend before and after that one, but I'd be happy to make the $10 donation.

Sorry to hear you won't be able to attend, but we do appreciate the donation.

For anyone who cannot attend, you may make the donation to www.relayforlife.org/hemetca

When you get there, go to team name Starbucks and click on Sandra Mackay.

My Jeep has developed an electrical gremlin and Will not spark working on it, but so far has me baffled. Sandi and I will be at the run one way or another. We just may be in her truck instead.

Have to cancel due to jeep issues. Have a great time and be safe everyone. I am gonna miss all the fun! Get to take my son to the MALL instead. Ugh I hate the mall.

turdhurdler 04-26-2013 12:55 AM

My jeep is back working properly so I will be on the trail in it!!!

Just want to get a current head count of who is going to join the fun with us.

I will be there .

For everyone attending, if you can bring a folding or camp chair on the run, that would be great. Gives ya someplace to sit during lunch. Lunch will consist of chicken, cornbread, home made potato salad and bottled water. Thanks everyone for your donations and desire to wheel the easy stuff for a good cause.
