We make some crazy sweet potato dish with pepitos, dry cranberries, mango chutney, and a bunch of other stuff. Sounds awful but it is really fantastic.

distortedtj 11-26-2008 10:03 PM

"""cartman voice"""..... I want my PIE !!!!

I don't like any thanksgiving food but the turkey. I hate stuffing, can't stand cranberries, and gravy just ruins potatoes...

This year were having tri tip:cool:

The sweet potatoes, cooked with butter and brown sugar, are my favorite.

I would have to say my favorite is Slow Roasted Guinness with a side of Guinness smothered in Guinness gravy and a dollop of Guinnessberry Sauce.

Yup, the favorite is still turkey. I BBQ'd on the kettle Weber and used Mesquite chips for a little extra flavor.

Real smashed potatoes with a bit of minced garlic mixed in with about a lb of real butter in 5lbs of potatoes with a little black pepper.

Okay my recipie for Mashed Potatoes if any were interested (prolly not but what the hell right?)

- 5lb bag of potatoes
- 2-3 TBS minced garlic
- 1lb of stick butter
- 1/2 to 1 cup of milk

Cube the potatoes to about the same size, boil, drain, mash add add butter and milk as mashing, after 3/4 or so mashed add the garlic and finish mashing. Serve hot off the stove or in crock pot at family functions. Black pepper is just a touch that is a optional thing. :flipoff:

PM me if you liked it or even if you added something else to it.

Mesquite broiled Tenderloin Steaks (so good it brought tears to my eyes!) broccoli cassarole, and white chocolate bread pudding! mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!! :punk:
