Damn Michigan Weather

When is Spring going to arrive - I want to go topless!!! Three weeks of Jeep ownership and it has rained and been in the 40's almost every day. Just needed to vent....

G McBride 04-13-2013 08:49 PM

We got teased in Indiana last week and now the temps have dropped again.

Chrispy 04-13-2013 09:48 PM

Had to snow plow the parking lot today! I'm ready for Spring!

cavsvet74 04-13-2013 11:24 PM

Yeah, this Spring sucks.

prowler9 04-14-2013 12:36 AM

I am in the same boat! It's sunny out this morning and supposed to be mid-50's, so it's coming off for awhile today.

Lusus_Naturae 04-14-2013 08:13 AM

Even Oklahoma is having odd weather this year. Normally we are warmer by now, we had an ice storm last week and lots more rain. Although we need the rain. I'll be missing these days when we get into the 100's this summer.

DaK 04-14-2013 08:22 AM

Rain, what is that? Haven't seen that stuff in months. Especially in an significant quanity to produce mud. Know to some of you that is a regular occuring thing but to us desert rats its a treat.

Now if we could get this wind to stop, that would be something.

k32 04-14-2013 10:44 AM

I've lived in some crappy climates, but SE Michigan is the worst, hands down.

kbwwolf 04-14-2013 10:53 AM

Last year in March, we had 2 weeks of 70-80 temps. I had the doors and top off my Jeep, and the battery in the motorcycle.

This year is just flat-out retarded. On Weds we had an ice storm. On Friday it snowed. Still have about a 4-foot snow pile at the end of the driveway. Disgusting.

On a positive note, I'll be on the East Coast all next week, where it's supposed to be +/ 80. Take that, bitches! :D

Menasor 04-14-2013 10:55 AM

Up here on the lakeshore of the thumb, we have had rain and snow everyday for the past two weeks. It would be nice if I drove a submarine, everything is flooded. Hell, I have an Olympic sized swimming pool where my front yard used to be. Don't get me wrong, rain is always good, but to a certain extent.

Panther57 04-14-2013 11:53 AM

and this week's weather doesn't get any better

Same for Chicagoland. Next two weeks are forecast for more crappy weather.

On the bright side, today is supposed to be 70 and sunny. The soft top is coming out of hibernation in a few minutes.

I'll suffer through the next couple weeks, but I am going to enjoy today!

NewYJOwner 04-14-2013 08:01 PM

Was decent till the other day, we got freezing rain, sleet, snow(about 2") Hoping to actually see the grass again sometime this week.

Woo Woo, we are at 53! the snow is melting, I can see patches of grass, but still lots of snow, we got like 155 inches of snow this winter, normal amount for us, but we are ready for some nice warm temps and a little sunshine.

st1264 04-15-2013 04:25 PM

68 right now in nearby Detroit, MI. Got my top off (for now, MORE rain is coming):

Eastern Washington State is no gem today either, great sunny Sunday and now black skies and rain coming - and in 2 hours it's supposed to be sunny. It's what I get for washing and detailing my JKU and my wife's KJ.

X2. It's bad enough we have crappy winters, but lately we've been getting pounded with summer heat & humidity too. Doesn't seem fair!

Normal in this area. I can see Detroit from my rooftop... it's naturally a very humid area. Winters are relatively mild and the summers are hot. Take out the humidity and I'd be very happy. The couple days that it was 100+ last year wasn't fun, but I use AC so it didn't matter much.

Abnormal-JK 04-16-2013 05:42 PM

Looks like we may get another chance to play in the snow... hell, last year it was in the 70's here by now !@##%^$&$*
