Help With Traction Control

I'll try to keep it short and simple.

Just added a 07 JKUR to my collection two weeks ago.
Put 35's on and finally got out yesterday to some local spots to test her out and compare it to my 97.
The first thing I noticed was when I would get on the gas and try to drift around some of the gravel corners, (even with the ESP "off", yellow marker on the dash) it would die out on me and send me pushing with my front tires. I am also using the 6-speed manual.
I figured with the traction control switched off there would be no issues. But time and time again I would feel the throttle die out and the car automatically braking and adjusting.

Yes this may come in handy one day on the street, but it drove me crazy and had me very disappointed at the end of the day. I just wish it drove off-road more like my TJ, free of any computer trying to drive for me.

Does anyone know of any write-ups or DIY's on how to fix this issue?
Thanks for your time guys.

So after I went to the link and read at the end about how if you have an 07 or an early 08 the first step to disabling the ESP is to have the dealer flash the system or update it, in order to fully disable the ESP. Well the dealer looked at me like I was speaking broken english, and he added in that it would be against the dealership policy to disable for me, because I could crash and have a lawsuit against them.

I am pretty upset but understand their argument. Does anyone else have any ideas or leads for me?

Thanks in advance

You could do a esp kill switch, keep in mind it should only be used for off-road. It disables more than just traction control, abs, etc...

Is Traction Control the same as Electronic Stability Contol. (ESC) ?
I Have been Searching this Forum for about 2 hours looking for ESC help.
So I'm going to ask my question here, Please Excuse me if I'm out of line.

I will be towing my 2012 Wrangler Sport (6 speed Manual Trans) with my motorhome. Should I turn off the the ESC or leave it on? or does it matter?
Thanks for any help you can give me. Appriciate it. Newb... sorry :>(

Hopefully someone with more experience with towing a vehicle will chime in. Are you towing it with all four wheels on the ground? I can't imagine ESC having any issues but am unsure. Make sure the transfer case is in neutral. As for the transmission look in the owners manual or consult a dealer. I read some conflicting reports on if it needs to be in gear or neutral. Here is a thread I found hopefully it helps. I have never towed a wrangler behind anything so don't quote me on this and hopefully someone with experience chimes in. Traction control is part of ESC.

Thanks Ryan
More Info:
- Towing with all four wheels on the ground.
- Manual Transmission in gear (NOT in Neutral)
- Transfer Case in Neutral
I pulled my old 2001 Wrangler (pretty plain jane type, nothing fancy). I just got this new 2012 Wrangler Sport in the Fall and am getting ready to take it on a road trip with Motorhome. I drove it for a few miles and pulled over to check things and the ESC light was on, so I looked in the manual for something and it doesn't mention turning it off in the Recreational towing instructions.
