Need Help with Rims and Wheels!

Hey. I just bought a 98 Jeep Wrangler TJ. The guy before me put a body lift on it and is runnng 33s on it. My dad doesnt want me to have 33s just because I am new to driving and such also, they hit the wheel well when I lock the wheel. I also heard that buying wheels for 15 in rims is more expensive because they are less common. Is this true or is it just a myth? I want to run 31' s on it so I was wondering if for moneys sake it would be a good investment to rid the 15s and get something like 17s or if it really makes a difference at all. If it does what wheels/tires would you recommend as a DD and some light trail driving? Ill add a photo so you guys can get an idea of what is on it and the body lift.

Thank you so much.

Adam

15's are cheaper because the demand is lower. Every inch you go up in rim size jacks the price for both the rims and tires up considerably. I would stick with 33's as they widen the jeeps stance and make it less tippy, which is better than stock for preventing roll overs. They also make you drive slower 9 times out of ten. Which I'm sure your father would appreciate as well.

But wouldn't 31s be fuel efficient?

That all depends on your gearing and motor. I think I got 18 on 31's and 17 on 33's.
