Just did the same thing to my interior. Did you paint the bolts black? I did.
Your build looks good.

Lynskey 04-19-2013 03:38 PM

I never get tired of looking at Dozer pics. Never. Nice work.

Senior Chief 04-19-2013 03:48 PM

Your interior looks just like mine. Your garage is cleaner however.

I am getting ready to dive into my dozer jk.

Rock krawler 2.5 max travel
Fox shocks

Yes I did. Primer and then the Mopar paint...one can was barely enough though!

I'm on my second rattle-can of Dozer. Did what you did, then the aft speaker grills and the D-rings I put on the front

My next can will be for the brake calipers....painting the center hubs flat black then the calipers Dozer orange!

Thanks. Just spray real evenly and use light coats and you should be fine. One can is barely enough so you may want to order a second.

dgott26 04-23-2013 09:40 AM

looks great! I want to do the same with mine. How did you go about popping off the vent rings? how many cans of paint?

There are a few threads about removing the vent rings. Essentially they either:

1. Pull out after rotating 1/4 turn counterclockwise

2. Pull out after aligning a slot in the inner surface of the ring with a tab at the one o'clock position, depressing that tab with a small flathead screwdriver, then turning 1/4 turn counterclockwise prior to pulling out.

The entire vent assembly pulls out, after which you remove the part you're going to paint by carefully prying up some tabs

Theres also a good YouTube video on removing the vents

Our Jeeps are so similar its crazy. Mine is Crush but they look almost identical right down to the rims.
