first you asked if JK springs would work on a TJ, now your asking if JK coils will work on a TJ. Is there a difference?

AzTJ 12-01-2008 10:55 PM

Either way, no... the springs are completely different.

orange05tj 12-01-2008 11:18 PM

I was just wondering if there was a difference between a coil and a spring. Thought maybe I missed something along the way. :D

azlenny 12-02-2008 06:45 PM

well i decided to try the front "coil springs" and the only mod i am gonna have to make is smaller diameter bump stops.the rear i will try tomorrow but looks alot more work than the fronts were. igained over an inch of lift in the front with the "coil springs" .pulled them out till i get new bump stops. and orange05 tj just to enlighten u coils and springs are the same go figure so dont bust my bal%% on who ever moved it and changed it thanx

if your looking for a cheap way to get some lift, look around for a set of coil spacers. You can get 1" to 2" spacers. If you dont disconnect and flex to the max, you can probably run stock shocks for a while. You can get used spacers pretty cheap somewhere. A 2" spacer and you can run 32's. Even with my lift, I run a 1" spacer in the front to level it out.
