got the rear lever installed, rear high clearance brackets and arms installed.
removed all stock rear arm, shock and spring mounts. Factory exhaust gone and bumpstops modified.
Next is torque all the rear hardware, install the coilovers and bypass shocks in the rear. (sitting on the bump stops right now at the shop) reattach parking brake cables, install extended brake lines, mount swaybar, weld swaybar link tabs and limit strap mounts to axle. swap pinion yoke and paint rear axle. then the rear is about done.

Hey Dan, what size tires will this set up run? I'm thinking about selling my TJ and getting a 4 door JK, I'd like to run 40's on it. I need to figure out what it will take and cost for this set up. This won't happen until probably next year though. I was to have the room to take my gf and two sons wheeling with room for gear.

Here Jason

Is eliminating the 'peace' decal part of the build plans?

wanderlust 04-21-2013 07:08 PM

no, peace emblem stays. apparently it is a vermont thing. the system will except up to a 40 no issue. actually going to be running the coilovers low for the 37s

wanderlust 04-21-2013 07:09 PM

cost is around 15g plus labor for a rig of this caliber

That's not bad, that's what I was looking at putting into this TJ. At least if I put it into an Unlimited JK I'd have the room I want, and more comfort for the gf so she will go up with me more often lol.

wanderlust 04-21-2013 07:18 PM

the stock axles wont live long. We are building it on 37s to try to squeeze some time out of the axles. On 40s they will not last long. so figure another 10+g on axles to run 40s

jasongind 04-21-2013 07:59 PM

What kind of axles do you use for 40's? I was looking at $12k in axles for my TJ anyhow.

BrianTG 04-21-2013 08:10 PM

One sexy mall crawler. ;)

wanderlust 04-21-2013 08:58 PM

60s are the easiest to get to jive with the Jk electronics. Either dynatrac or currie. I have seen people use 14bolts as well and a little research you can get the electronics to work.

jasongind 04-21-2013 09:15 PM

There aren't any clearance issues with the 60's & JK's like with the TJ's then huh? I was looking at Prorock 44's for the TJ.

G-Rocc 04-21-2013 09:39 PM

It will be a good identifying mark then...

Great job so far and killer welds. Can't wait to see the rest of the progress.

wanderlust 04-22-2013 07:16 AM

thanks, i wish i welded more often.

Justin04Lj 04-22-2013 07:34 AM

I got a couple welds I need. Lol

CoreyZ 04-22-2013 09:41 AM

SFrubicon 04-22-2013 09:50 AM
