ScanGauge II Customer Service

I bought a ScanGauge II in 2009 for my 2004 4Runner. I used it until Last month when I bought my Rubicon COD. I had tried all the various modes suggested by the manual, but it wouldn't sync with the Jeep. I called their tech support, hoping for a tip on how I might get it to work. The young lady that answered said to send it back and it would get reflashed. I thought cool, they'll get it working again and I'll be hooked up. I mailed in the SCII only, not the cable.

Today I got a brand new ScanGaugeII and cable in the mail. It had already been setup with the Jeep parameters and even the display had been matched with the gauge colors on my JK.

This is how a company builds customer loyalty. The warranty expired in 2010. I wrote them a nice email and felt like I should share with you guys/gals.

Wow. That kind of customer service doesn't happen very often any more.

I have an LJ with Auto (420RLE) and live in SoCal... it would be nice to watch transmission temps. Is that part of what it does on a jeep?

'Cause, if so, I'm putting one on my wishlist...

I believe that you can get trans temp by looking up and programming a code into it. I had to do it on my 4Runner, but have a manual in my JK. It wasn't hard, just googled scangauge codes and my make/model.

I love my Scangauge II. Good stuff. Unfortunately, I tried the trans temp sensor code for the XGauge for my 04 TJ and it didn't work. They do work for some Dodge models, but none of those codes work on the TJ either...been there, tried it. I also coded the O2 sensor readings in, which ended up being mostly useless since you can't see a graph of what's going on over time. The TJ's ECU didn't support the XGauge A/F ratio codes either. 05-06 TJ ECU's may be different, but 97-04 ECU's are just too "dumb" for the fancy features.
