GuytonJK,

It all comes down to how you plan on using your Jeep. The two tires you selected are complete opposites. The Mickey Thompson ATZ is an all-terrain tire, which will give you a better ride on the street rather than off road.

The Goodyear MT/R is a mud tire made for off road, so it won't be anything like the ATZ on the street. The MT/R is a good all round tire to run on the street and get great performance in the dirt.

Hope this gives you some help! Please let me know if there's anything I can help you with.

-Zach

I've been a BFG guy, pre lift and post lift. Ran BFG ATs at stock height. Once I lifted my Jeep, I went with 32" BFG MT KM1s. When the new KM2s came out, I upgraded to 33" ones, never looked back. IMO, BFG can't be beat for quality and price.

Guyton,

If you're between both of those, I would go Pro-Comp and not look back. I run the Xtreme M/T on both of my Jeeps and won't run anything else. They are quiet on the street and really aggressive in the dirt.

My TJ has the 33's and my JK has the 35's on it. They both were easy to balance and used very little weight. They ride really well, and like I had said, they are fairly quiet for a mud tire.

Shoot me a PM if you have other questions!

had i seen this earlier i probably woulda reconsidered but it came down to pricing and i got the Mickey Ts for a hell of a deal through one of my distributors. i know how well the Mickey Ts did on the duramaxs running around here and if theyre half as good with those rigs being 4 times the size and 10 times the power ill be more than impressed. i will keep this into consideration when its time for new tires in a few years.:thumb:

good to know someone else is runnin em. how many miles you got on em thus far? hows the thread look?

RevCo666 04-24-2013 11:03 AM

Never had Goodyear Territory (Canadian Tire brand) 31x10.5R15 before as the PO had put them on new a week before I bought the jeep last summer. So far having run with them thru a few seasons, I have no qualms with them. Had they been 30' stock tires, then I would of maybe bought BFG's since I had some on my last truck. So really at this point I'm on the fence. If GY lasts more then 4.5 years rotated(BFG's started cracking a few years after putting them on), then I would get the GY again.

Close to 45K with 6/32 left! Gonna mount another set on my bead locks in about a week here... For only having 6/32 Left on the tire is unbelievable how they hook up! This set I will sipe center lugs for better ice traction...

Guyton,

Glad to see you made a choice! Hope you like the Mickey T's, I know a few guys who swear by them. It all comes down to what you like, that's what makes Jeeps so cool. No matter how similar they seem, every one is just a little bit different.

Feel free to shoot me a PM with any questions!

for sure, ill defiantly keep tabs on them so everyone can see how i like them compared to what i do with them. they work great on the powerstrokes, cummins, and duramaxs for damn near anything we do with them. so if they do half of what they could on those trucks on my jeep ill be more than pleased...by the way, i really like your website and its layout:thumb:
