Huge repair question

Hello everyone. Recently my motor mount bolts broke off in my engine some how. I took it to a repair place and they charged me 900 dollars to fix. My question, to remove the engie and fix this does it need to be disconnected from the trans bell housing. Yh charged d said they had to remoove te engine, but the bell housing bolts are just as loose as I left them
. Pleas let me know if I have a case. I do not believe they removed my engine and are charging me a extra 500 dollars. Plz get back o me or text 2108599689 thank you everyone.

They should NOT have to remove the engine to replace motor mounts.

You do NOT have to remove the engine. I have replace both of mine several times and never had to remove the motor. They are a challenge but can be done.

Dammit. I took pictures if the bell housing and all bolts look are the same... I was eiundering if I should go back and fuss at them.

If what you are saying ( that the bolts broke off in the engine block) it is likely that do to tight space that they may have lifted the engine out. This may need to be done to drill out the broken bolts. And possibly install heili coil to repair threads. Without being there and see what they did there is no way to tell. As far as the bell housing bolts being loose, anytime I work on someone's vehicle if I didn't remove it or loosen it I leave it as is. No way to know if they have other work to do when I'm finished. I understand you're upset with the price, did you tell them to give you an price before they did the repair or tell them to fix it.

Yes, I am not upset with the price. I did not know their was a different e between removing and lifting a transmission. I thank everyone for everything, so so much. Thanks guys.
