hello im new in this forum.. i have a 2006 Wrangler 4.0 Auto.. and it keeps on burning the PDC fuse.. i was driving down the road and all the sudden it quit... i replaced the 10Amp fuse and ran well.. then a few miles later the engine lost power, then burned the fuse.. and my gauges dont work also untill i fix the fuse.. whats could be the problem? i wanna try and fix it myself before i take it to the shop if i cant figure it out.. thanks.. any help please..
Btw.. the fuel pump doesnt prime also on ignition with the "PDC" fuse being burnt..
Get the wiring diagrams for your jeep and find out what circuits are being fed off that fuse. A popped fuse indicates a short to ground. Which is usually a wire thats insulation has rubbed off and the current is redirected and is grounding out where the bare wire is. So close inspection of wires is a must.
Shorts can also occur within components fed from that curcuit, but more than likely it's a bare wire.
