Tools needed?
I tried to take off my front and rear track bars today and it didn't go very well. I only had a socket wrench and I didn't have the muscle to get the bolts out. Is there any special tools I need to remove them or do I need to go hit the gym a little harder? Also, can I take them off with my jeep sitting on it's own four tires? Let me know!

just took mine off. however i did it at work where i have an impact wrench and a torch...on the front i took the nut and bolt off on the axle side. the frame side i left in. i took the axle side and zip tied it to the frame on passenger side. its disconnected, out of the way, and easly reconnectable. just a thought

Also. PB blaster a few times before trying, and yes no need to jack up the jeep.

If they are not going back on cut em off and your done!! Yes on the ground it will have no effect except better handling on and off road.

Alright sounds good I'm probably gonna soak them for a few days then try it again!

don't bother soaking! I did the same thing and couldn't even budge them with a 3' breaker bar! 1/2" impact, Mine were permanent so I just had to cut them off. Trust me you wont want to put them back on after you feel the difference!

Rent or buy an impact wrench. I just purchased a '94 YJ and have been doing some work on it. Some of the bolts would not budge without the impact wrench. In fact, it was a little scary how long it took for a couple of them to come loose.

I'm almost done with my semester and at the place I work over the summer they have an impact wrench so might wait till then to try and get them loose!
