Ideas for inside mounted Hi Lift Jack ? Good Price on Lift Jack too.

Hey everyone,

Just ordered a new Smittybilt P/N 2722 54 inch Trail Jack w/handle isolator 7,000 lb. capacity, for my YJ from Quadratec, via the link below. Just and FYI, you can click the link below to purchase the same jack for $44.99(Reg. Retail $79.99) and free shipping, or through a Google Search for the above mentioned jack. But,if you go directly to the Quadratec website, and order it, there will be an additional shipping fee of $11.99.

I know its not a Hi Lift Jack, but for my use, I feel it will work just fine, and I cannot justify $100-$160 for the Hi-Lift name.(Its like the differnce between my $24,000 Case/IH tractor 4wd and the $36,000 John Deere 4wd equivalent, I wasn't paying $12,000 more for green and yellow paint and a name And, it was the best deal I could find period. Even my local Tractor Supply wanted $59.99 for their Reese version 48 inch, and $79.99 for their 54 inch Reese version.

But, I want to mount the Jack inside, to protect it from the elements. No rear seat, so the roll bar mounts would be great. Would love to see some pics of yours mounted inside to get some ideas for mounting mine. I am more the fabricator type, than the purchaser of these types of projects. Any info or pics on this is much appreciated.

Thanks, Mike

Here's mine, but it's the shorter (48") version

Here's mine. Up high and out of the way. Built the mounts myself.

Thanks guys, like them both. The fender well mount would work for me, as I have no back seat in it any longer. Have been considering a high roll bar mount as well. Like the idea of it being up and out of the way.

Again, thanks, it is much appreciated.

Like the way you made the slide on mount for the base plate, then wing nut mount on the top end of the jack. Would make it much easier to remove or put back in place. This is definitely giving me some good ideas. Thanks. Believe this may be the route for me, as I have a sub box in the back, plus a tool cabinet and room for my cooler.
