broken rear track bar bolt?

Back story: I heard a loud thump on my way home from work when I was pulling into a convenience store. I got out and took a quick look and couldn't see anything obvious. This morning I go out and move the rear of the LJ back and forth and hear a clunking sound. I crawl under and the sound seems to be coming from the rear track bar axle mount. The head of the bolt doesn't look perpendicular to the mount.

Anyone ever heard of a rear track bar bolt breaking on a stock suspension?

take a look at the mount and see if a weld has cracked or broken. the bolt can break if it's not torqued properly.

I couldn't see anything obviously wrong with the mount but I'll take another look. If it turns out to be the bolt is an OEM replacement the best bet?

it's a bolt. go the local hardware store and match it up. it's an M12 or M14 Class 10.9, IIRC. obviously, without driving the damaged vehicle.

I'd recommend swapping torx bolts anytime you have to remove one (I'm assuming its a torx head mine was). A hex head's harder to strip out than a torx. I had to drill out a few when I installed my lift.
