AEV lift, anyone tried?
Hey fellas,
Took a test drive in a 4d 2012 Sahara today. Dealer said it had a 3" pro comp lift but on the springs I noticed it said teraflex. It also had 33" tires.

Basically it's the height I am looking for, maybe do a 3.5 at highest. I thought the highway ride was rougher (stiffer) than I anticipated it should be. I called a off road place locally and he recommended American Expidition Vehicle lift. I will mostly be driving highway in the jeep and he said it was the best for that, if I wouldn't be doing any crazy rock crawling.

Anyone try these or have a better suggestion?

Also they just became a vendor on here. I was thinking of going the more affordable route then I remembered "Never be afraid to buy the best, you'll always be happy with it."

Are you asking if anyone has an AEV lift? You might be able to find a few (thousand) people here and there that have them.:) If you try real hard, you might even be able to find a web site forum devoted to AEV. 'Tis just a rumor though, so I wouldn't get my hopes up too high.

Here is my jeep with 2 1/2 AEV lift and 35's. The ride is great on the highway.

I really doubt the Teraflex springs are making your ride rough, if anything it would likely be the shocks. If you really need a softer ride I would start with some Bilstein 5100 shocks first. Just remember, these shocks I suggested and possibly all shocks have a break in period. I've always been a bit disappointed with 5100s until they get 500 miles on them or a couple long days offroad and I've had four sets of them. If it still rides poorly buy the AEV springs.

I have a 2013 JKUR with AEV 3.5 SC lift and 35" Dura Tracs.....very little if any body roll on high speed turns, very stable and firm ride, vast improvement over stock. Have not done any rock crawling can't comment there. Hope to do the Rubicon this summer.

I run a 3.5 AEV dualsport on my JK with 17 inch wheels and 35 inch Pro Comp mud terrains. Very well-mannered on road and quite capable off road as well.

I have a 4.5" AEV with Remote Reservoir Shocks. The ride is awesome! But, 4.5" is too tall, if I could do it again, I would go 3.5" for my 35" BFG KM2's. It makes my 35's look like 33's, and people always ask me if I run 33's. So, eventually, I'll have to go 37's to even out the look. However, ride quality is great, and handling, even at 4.5" lift, is excellent. I mean, I can take turns as fast as any vehicle, and it will take them nicely. The only limit so far has been my own comfort to what is even reasonable for taking a turn on any vehicle. I can drive it like a sports car.
