ACE Rock Sliders

I received my Ace Rock Sliders the other day. Very well made. I'm glad I made the choice to order these from Krawl Off-Road.
ACE recommends two people for the install, but I utilized my small motorcycle jack to lift them into position. They bolted up nice and solid. Love 'em! My only disappointment, no bottle opener. I guess I don't rate.

Very nice! I need to get some but shopping around. Did you get a good deal? Did you shop around before purchasing?

ONETANGO 04-27-2013 07:41 PM

Sweeeet!!! Those will be my next Jeep purchase.

4dr, I didn't even use a jack at all - I just laid on the garage floor and propped them up on my belly and feet. There has to be some advantage to having a belly, aside from playing Santa at Christmas.

I think Jason at Krawl Off-Road gave me a fair price. These things are heavy, so shipping from anywhere is going to cost you.
Krawl Off-Road has lots of great feedback here on the WF and the ACE sliders are probably the most recommended here also, so that pretty much spelled it out for me.

I'd rather deal with a recommended product and dealer, than to shop somewhere unknown to save what would amount to only a couple of bucks.

Love my Ace rock rails. Got mine from Extreme. Had to wait a while but worth it. Got free shipping.

Those look great! I've been searching for rock sliders and think I've found what I'm looking for. Thanks for sharing your pics!

I ordered a set last week from Jason @ Krawl Off Road, hopefully I'll see them late this week...

I love mine.

Now I just need some rubi rail takeoffs to give it a cleaner look.

Circa1973 04-29-2013 09:59 AM

Those are really nice! I would like something like that on mine.

Do you know of a company that makes the rubi rail takeoffs?

SouthTJ 04-30-2013 08:38 AM

Looks nice. It's probably easier with two people but I think you can do it yourself as you've proven. I didn't have a jack like you did but I used a jack stand. Worked fine.

By takeoff I mean they were taken off of a rubicon. :)

Not sure who sells them. Mopar maybe? Maybe quadratec. Some have recommended hitting up your local offroad shop. Sometimes they have some lying around that they'll give away or sell cheap.

Check Craigslist. I found mine for a great price. They were removed from a brand new JKU. The owner wanted the Mopar steps installed instead. They can be found. Just be patient, they'll pop up.

Why do you guys order them from every where but the ACE website? Just wondering.

x2

I'm wanting to order some but am not wondering the same thing.

sgtkersh 05-01-2013 12:12 PM

I ordered mine from ACE directly this week. Can't wait to get them. $289 plus shipping with a discount code.

Installed over the weekend. I really didn't want them, as I like the Rubi rails alone... but the wife wanted something to step on to get in.

Actually, I think they look a lot better than I imagined. I'm pleased.

Better price and free shipping. Call Jason at Krawl, he'll give you a good deal. Just be prepared to wait for them. Mine took about a month (not Jason's fault at all), but they are worth the wait.
