Need top info

I'm in the process of selecting/buying my first Wrangler Unlimited. Can't decide on which top to buy. I live in indiana, so winters are cold. I love the look of the hardtop, not so much the soft top. If i go hardtop and purchase a bikini top for summer months, how much will rain be a factor?
I know the soft top is a quick fix for rain, but not really a fan of the look.
Thanks for any and all input.

Ktown,

Welcome the the Forum! There are a good bit of Jeep that run a bikini and doors all summer and don't have any issues. I would recommend taking the carpet out to keep it from getting wet and stinking.

Also you may want to look at the Trektop NX it's a full soft top with a different styling than most tops out there. It also gives you the option to run it as a safari bikini top. If it's going to rain hard, or you're going on a road trip, just throw the windows in the back.

Hope this helps! Feel free to PM me or reply to the Extreme Terrain Thread in the vendor section. I'll be happy to assist you.

Thanks for input and welcoming. Would also love to know the pros and cons of the two tops. Do you get much buffeting on the hard top when you take out the front two pieces only?

i'd say get a hard top on the jeep when you buy it if you ever want one. the reason is buying one for your jeep later is expensive.
