Adding to a previous body lift
The po had put a 1 inch body lift on the jeep and I wasn't aware until I went to put my 2 inch body lift on, is it ok to add my 2 inches on top of the previous lift?
Doable or recommended?
Doable yes, you would need to get bolts, fuel filler lines, radiator drop brackets, and anything else that has mounting points on the frame and body.
Recommended? Most don't go above 1.25" of body lift due to safety concerns ( do you want to be in a tub held on by 9 bolts in an accident?) and cosmetic reasons (gap between tub and frame looks fugly to most). If you really wan't an extra inch of lift it is much easier to just use coil spacers. Likely cheaper to when taking all supporting mods for such a big body lift into consideration
Most Jeepers on this forum will tell you that anything over a 1.25" BL is no bueno. That is all the clearance you will need if you plan on a tummy tuck TC skid later. They will tell you to send the 2" BL back and get a refund.
Do you know for a fact the body lift on your Jeep is in fact a body lift and not the stock isolators? Can you post a picture of the lift pucks on your Jeep, and the gap between your rear fender liner and your frame?
If the answer is yes, I would definately not stack them. You don't have the right bolts and grill spacers as Carolina has mentioned above.
Send the 2" body lift back and get a refund. Use that $$ for a Budget Boost.
