What setup are you guys running? I think that a CB will be my next project.

I was looking at the 520 myself. Inexpensive and good.

It is the toughest and best raido for the money. Pretty much indestructible. Plug and play.

As a HAM, come on guys, let's see about people getting license and HAM radios. Better range, repeater access, clearer channels. Plus the knowledge gained helps amazingly with picking products.

The Ham is great. But the use of the cb is all that's needed in the trail. And u r really only 100 ' away from each other.
We use them to talk to one another on a ride. If I need help ill use my cell phone. But I am looking into ham right now. U no longer need to know morse which is a little better.

What's this I read about tuning the antenna?

larjeep 05-07-2013 06:18 PM

U can but for the distance we use the, on the trails it's not that necessary
