MT SideBiter
I know there are other threads about these wheels but they are fairly old posts. So wondering if anybody has them and could post some pictures. Im struggling with what wheels to buy.

I've had the sidebiters (15x10) for about 2 months. I love their look. They stay pretty clean. They r a gloss black but not too shiny. The caps r screwed on and u can access the lugs without removing them. I have Nitto trail grapplers around them.
I can't give u any technical facts about them all I can say is that I love them and they are reasonably priced.
Good luck with ur choice.
If u need better pics let me know and ill take some in the daylight tomorrow.

Not real close up, but you get the idea. Great wheels!

tjandlax 05-01-2013 10:32 PM

i think im gonna get these. anybody with a red jeep and these wheels?

tjandlax 05-04-2013 06:23 PM

i thought more people would have these wheels

MIZFAN 05-04-2013 06:37 PM

I gave these wheels a hard look for my red 97 but went with the procomp 7069's because of price.

I'm right there with you. I like these wheels, but I'll have to save pennies before I can get a set.

Uhhhh... did you read my first post? the threads are old for the most part and i didnt get the look i wanted yet, its no small purchase wanna makes sure i like them .

If you dont wanna help out why post?

What size tires will you be mounting on them? Rarely will a 15x10 wheel be the best choice if you offroad & air your tires down.

tjandlax 05-05-2013 02:29 PM

Something else im going back and forth on. Def 33's just not sure on width, right now im not doing to much stuff offroad where i would need to air down. I bought the jeep end of last june. So this spring and summer is mod time. So im still sitting on the 30's it came with but the steel d windows have been repainted and are now rusting through.

Jerry Bransford 05-05-2013 03:41 PM

33's usually come in 12.5" widths with 10.50 widths harder to find. If you air your tires down for offroading, a 15x8 will be the right choice for even the 12.5" width. If you go with a 33x10.50, a 15x7 is optimal but certainly no wider than 15x8.

tjandlax 05-05-2013 07:15 PM

ok i was planning on the 15x8. Will i be able to run the 30x9.5s that i have already until i replenish the jeep fund and the tires wear more?

tjandlax 05-05-2013 09:45 PM

very nice

tjandlax 05-08-2013 07:59 PM

so i want to get black lugs also. what is the difference between an acorn and a spline drive are there benefits to one or the other?

tjandlax 05-09-2013 12:01 AM

bhsanchez any word on that lift?

Sorry it took so long:facepalm:.... but the RC lift is great a love it and it raised it more like 4"s instead of just 2.5":D

tjandlax 05-10-2013 06:50 PM

No worries just thought it was cool that you had the same wheels and lift im prob gonna do. any trouble with drive line vibes?

Jerry Bransford 05-10-2013 07:09 PM

You will have drivetrain vibrations any time a suspension lift in a TJ is taller than 2". Sometimes even a 2" suspension lift can cause enough vibration to need a t-case drop.

tjandlax 06-06-2013 07:57 PM

So im about to buy them and im worried about the backspacing being 3.31 im at stock height still and im fine with the wheels sticking out past the flares but i dont wanna look ridiculous. Those of you with the wheels can you give me an idea of how much they will protrude?

Jerry Bransford 06-06-2013 08:15 PM

How much further out they will protrude is impossible to know without knowing what size tires you'll be installing on them vs. the tire size & wheel backspacing you have now.

I can say that 3.31" of backspacing isn't even close to being enough to make me happy.

tjandlax 06-06-2013 08:47 PM

i will be using 30x9 tires for now. eventually 33x12.50 prob, but will be lifted and will be able to do different flairs if needed at that point in time. Backspacing right now is 4.5 and they barely stick out.

eugenesonrisa 06-06-2013 09:07 PM

I have them with 33x10.5 and have about 1" sticking out past the fender. Total speculation on the actual distance.

Jaxon1023 06-06-2013 09:56 PM

33x13.5x15 nitto mud grapplers on 15x10's with gorilla spline lugnuts. I absolutely love the tire/rim combo

tjandlax 06-06-2013 10:25 PM

nice same color as mine. great looking rim/tire combo. i guess im just gonna have to lift sooner than i thought. great example. thank you jaxon haha
