por-15 or chassis saver

Im getting ready to take care of frame rot...all 4 corners...da@n frame cracked on mecrack is on drivers side around the trac bar bracket,so really have know choice..
anywho, which product is the better...por15 or chassis saver..

I was also thinking of stripping out the seats, carpet etc..and doing the interior and redoing the outside as well...basically the whole jeep inside and out.

Has anyone done this? Can you? por15 outside then repaint..same with inside..

Did this some years ago. I sprayed my CJ exterior once with POR-15. Looked great at first. Problem is that it isn't UV stable. After a few months, it chalked up and rubbed off. Lost all of it's encapsulation properties and started rusting. Ended up stripping it off and repainting. POR also wants the surface to be a little rough in order to stick good. I had areas where it flaked off because it wasn't roughed up. I did brush POR-15 on my bumpers and did the topcoat so it would be UV stable. That worked pretty good although I would spray it next time because of the brush strokes left behind. It's pretty tough though.

same here on the Por 15 First time I did my daughters 92 yj and we took a wire wheel to the underside and sprayed everything that was exposed after taping off driveline and such. It always looked like it was wet on the underside. Take note. Por-15 is uv sensitive so its your call if it needs the top coat.

yea por 15 is amazing if it doesn't see the sun all day!! but it is great stuff, i bed linered the tub of my 93 yj a few years ago, there were some rust spots that I grinded and then por'd, then herculinered and have never seen the rust coming through after 3 or so years,, so I guess, yea but avoid sun!!! great stuff
