I had been using (I don't know the) brand bikini top on my 02 TJ. I always take the hard top off in the spring and put it back on around Halloween. I also use the no-drill header bar.
The top edges wrap around the side bars, but late last year, the entire stitching on the passenger's side came out. I was left with that side flapping in the wind, so I need to replace it.
Do all of the manufacturers use this style, where the entire edge folds around the side bar? What brand would you guys recommend? There always seems to be a lot of stress on that side, as the top was pulled very tight when it was in place.
Additionally, I also have the sound bar in my Wrangler. The previous bikini top installed easily with the sound bar. Will the sound bar affect certain styles?
THANKS, in advance!

I'm in the same boat as you, have a bikini top from quadratec and have had no issues with it so far. It only stays on when it's warm and I've had it for about a year now, zero regrets. This is it

I'm using a smittybilt and love it. I have the black diamond that covers front and back seats, have tonneau cover to match. I had the bestop prior and I did not purchase another. My top now, tucks into my window frames. I use the bikini year round, my soft top is just sitting in the back yard rotting....
I genuinely appreciate the responses. I have the full doors. Ar ethe door surrounds a necessity? (I have a cab cover, so I'm not too worried about the rain while parked)
How do the Smittybilts fasten on the side bars?

Smitty attaches by Velcro and straps to the roll cage and windshield channel up front. It can be used with or without the window frames

I have a Bestop Safari top. Going on 6 years with it. No drill header. I can never get those top corners tucked in all the way either. They have never come out though.
Bestop also gives you the choice of velcro around the sport bar, or a channel for the door surrounds. I usually use the surrounds. They make the top fit tighter, and I can seal out more of the elements up front by using my uppers.
But, I like how PiePuncher's Smitty top uses the straps to hold the rear of the top tight. Looks like they would help keep the rear from flapping, like my Bestop used to. Now, I use tarp clips and zip tie them to my rear spreader bar I added to the cage.
Here's the Bestop Safari using sport bar velcro, and door surrounds.
I no longer use my soft top due to the fact that there is no flap in the wind w the bikini top. Dave, the second pic looks clean, like it w window channel

Im on the same boat, I just got a safari extended top by pavement ends, and there is a small rip in the stitching on my driverside Velcro stap. it also is made to go around the roll bars and is a pretty damn tight fit, especially when it warms up here in south texas. So far I have a mixed set of covers, have a bestop wraparound wind jammer which is awesome, have a smittybuilt tonneu cover and the pavement ends safari top. probably going to invest in a bestop if I cant get the rip fixed.
