Going SOA will automatically add about 5.5-6" of lift due to the diameter of the axle.

2.5" lift springs + SOA = ~ 8-8.5" lift. That is a LOT of lift for a short wheel base vehicle.

Because you are even asking about how much lift going SOA will give you, I highly recommend you do your homework on SOA conversions. It is more complicated than you think, and more expensive. You're looking at something that requires fabrication and welding. As well as a SYE and CV driveshaft. Maybe even traction bars.

Is it for cosmetics? Or functional to add larger tires for serious wheeling?

If cosmetic, start with a quality 4" suspension lift. Will require a TC drop and possibly SYE/CV DS (more $).

If that isn't enough lift, add minor lift shackles and/or a 1" body lift. You could also try this with your existing lift, and you might be happy with the results. The extra shackle lift may require the TC drop. And/or do the 1" body lift with a 1" motor mount lift.
