China wall Sunday may 5

Just taking the older boys on this one. Anyone interested?

Justin04Lj 05-01-2013 06:13 PM

As long as the weathers nice I'm down.

1quick1 05-03-2013 11:58 AM

How is this one for my stock Rubi? I know I can make it but am I going to be scraping the shit out of it the whole time?

jagerhelix 05-03-2013 12:03 PM

Stock rubi will be fine. Only one section you can't bypass but it's pretty mild.

Sinister6 05-03-2013 01:21 PM

I'm in ONLY if there is another "difficult" hill like last week. :D

What TIME?
Where to MEET?

Thinking 0830 rudys. So trailhead at 1000.

Ha! That was a wildly inaccurate description. According to that my driveway would be considered a moderate obstacle.

Rumor is that's why you did your gears and lockers just so you could make it up your driveway!

See you at RUDY'S at 0830!

Justin04Lj 05-03-2013 03:25 PM

Jeep65 05-04-2013 07:56 AM

Does anyone mind if I tag along? I will know for sure later on today. How long would we gone for? I have to make an early evening airport run. It would be myself and my 6 yr old daughter. I would be coming from Parker.

Justin04Lj 05-04-2013 09:51 AM

It'd be cool if you joined.

Johnwbs 05-04-2013 03:23 PM

Jeep65 05-04-2013 03:58 PM

Sorry, can't make it tomorrow. Maybe next time. Something came up last minute

Carlseanson 05-04-2013 08:59 PM

I'd like to join guys. My brother is in town and I want to take him on a cool trail. I'm coming from the Denver area. Is there a better spot to meet or is Rudy's probably best for me too?

If you decide meet us at Rudy's take I-25S to HWY 24 West, take a LEFT (WEST) to Rudy's on 31 st. It's on the LEFT, right off of 24W, it's a gas station/BBQ.

DIRECTIONS TO TRAILHEAD...
From Colorado Springs: Approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour driving time. Head west on US Highway 24 through Woodland Park, Divide, Florissant & Lake George. On the west end of Lake George, take a right hand turn off on CR-77 following this approximately 10 miles. If you drive through the town of Tarryall (a small cluster of houses on a bend in the road, a good indicator you are there is there is a small, old time, white school house/church on the east side of the road) you have gone too far. The actual trail turn off is about a 1/2 mile before the town on the east side of CR-77. Turn here and you will follow up the road to the trail head.
From Denver: Approximately 1.5 hours to 2 hours driving time. Head west on C-470 to the US Highway 285 Turn off. Take the US-285 turn off and this will direct you southwest through several towns including Conifer. Turn left off onto CR-77 and head southeast past Tarryall Resivoir and further through the town of Tarryall. Turn left off on the first dirt road after the cattle guard (cattle guard is in a paved road) and follow this up to the trail head.

Lets have an awesome time Gents!

BreckenridgeYJ 05-04-2013 11:09 PM

Depending on how I sleep tonight I am planning on being there. I'll post in the morning. I will be meeting at the trailhead as it is more direct than the meetup point in the springs
