Need some wheel size advice...

Ok everyone.. When I got my Jeep it came with the stock rims and 31 inch tires...

I want to get some standard Cragar black wheels 397 with 8 holes......

I assume I just get the 15x7... Could I do a 15x8 or 15x10? If I could, why would I want too?

Please forgive my ignorance...!

A 7 or 8 inch wide wheel will be fine for your 31s. You want the rim to be a little less wide that the tire but not much. If you plan on running a 12.5 wide tire like most 33s or 35s, I would get the 8 or 10 inch wide rim. You really won't "need" a 10 inch tire unless you go wider than a 12.5 tire

8" wide wheels are ideal for 12.5" wide wheels. And a 15x8 is a good option. It's a very good size for a 31x10.5 tire and gives you the option to run a 12.5" wide tire in the future if you upgrade.

The 8" wide rim allows you to air down on trails easier without unseating the tire bead.

So I think 10 inch is the way to go...

Whether I get bigger tires or not.. it gives me options..

Thanks..
