Using a trolley jack with JKU

I bought a trolley jack yesterday, never had one before. In order to put stands under the front axle, can I use the diff as a jack point? I believe that trolley jacks aren't designed to be used with the standard factory jack points on the sills, and the axle tube looks a little flimsy to be taking over a ton of weight.

I use one as well as a standard floor jack & various bottle jacks. I have used it on the frame, axle tubes, diff, & to aid installing the new bumpers. Never a problem. Just be careful & watch it as you go up and down. since the lift point is a bit smaller than a standard floor jack, the load can slide so pay attention. Always use jack stands, even if the Jeep is not resting on it, it will save you if the jack fails or slips.

Awesome, thanks. I've just been looking now and the front diff is off centre, so if I want to raise up the whole of the front of the vehicle I seem to have little alternative to using the axle tube as the jack point. There's definitely no issue with doing that?

You can jack up by the axle tube. It won't hurt it
