Mirror laws when doorless in CA?

I finally pulled the doors off here in LA. Why don't all cars have no doors? I'm running a motorcycle mirror in the bracket right now and it is pretty ugly and I still can't see very well out of it. If I was to get a stick on Convex mirror and put it on the left side vent would that fly? Or does the mirror need to be outside the vehicle?

Looks like you need the rear view and at least one side mirror on the driver side.

Yup what he said. There is a bracket that lets you put a mirror on your A Pillar. I'll see if I can find you something on it. It lets you see much better out of the mirror.

Here ya go.

Hrm from that text, it seems that I might be able to get away with a vent mirror? That counts as left side right?

To be real , if you plan on taking your doors off a lot buy some good mirrors

I run doorless from June to dec. and I use the rugged ridge quick dissconnect mirrors and love them , the bad part is the field of vision on the pass side is a little narrow

I run the Rugged Ridge quick disconnect mirrors also and love them.

Quick fix for the passenger side mirror, get a convexed mirror from a truckstop/autozone/pepboys. They have some that will bolt on in place of the ones that come from rugged ridge, for only a few dollars.

To be honest though I don't use the passenger mirror. Rugged Ridge sells them in singles so I only have one on the driver's side to stay legal.
