Pay it Forward Parts Exchange

2 Attachment(s)
So, I recently performed my first mod by replacing my OEM front and soon to be rear bumpers. Now I have the OEM bumpers sitting in my garage which I need to get rid of. Instead of selling the bumpers I've decided to offer them to a WF member for free...with the following restrictions.

Rules:
  1. You can't sell the part(s)
  2. You must use the part(s) on your own JK and post pictures
  3. Have been a member on WF for at least 6 months
  4. Have at least 10 board posts
  5. You must offer a free part(s) off of your Jeep of equal or greater value of what you received the next time you do an upgrade or mod

I'm offering for free a front and rear bumper off of a 2011 JKU. Both are in good shape, never been in a wreck with only a few minor scratches. The front bumper does NOT include the fog lights as those are now on my new bumper. If you're not in the middle Tennessee area and need these shipped you will have to pay for the shipping expenses.

After looking on eBay I'm setting the value on both bumpers at $150.00, which is probably a little low.

^^ Cool idea!

kramer2k 05-04-2013 03:10 PM

I have an OEM front track bar and OEM front tie rod from my '13 JKUR if anyone wants them. I think I also have OEM front and rear lower control arms.

I also have a shelf of other odds and ends I need to go through to add to this thread.

If anyone wants either part just cover the shipping and they're yours.

nobndry 05-04-2013 03:23 PM

I don't need the bumper but if you would be willing to give me the tow hooks that would be great. :) I don't know how much shipping from you to 24503 in VA would be though.

kramer2k 05-04-2013 03:56 PM

Oh, and I'll have an OEM rear bumper too. My GenRight shows up Tuesday. I'm going to the garage right now to remove the stocker.

Where in Tn are you? I'd be interested in both bumpers and can offer a pay it forward in return.

Franklin just south of Nashville. I'm still waiting for the rear bumper to come in and it should be in the next week or two.

Great idea. I don't need the parts but gotta love the community feel here. Major props for the pay it forward idea.

Ill take you on the front bumper if you haven't gotten rid of it yet. I jacked mine up at the trail.

Great Idea BTW!

I will prolly be looking to donate the front and rear bumper when I upgrade mine.

@RoxstarD: You are first in line for these bumpers, are you still interested? I've decided I don't want the hassle of shipping these bumpers so these are being offered for local pickup only. Let me know.

This thread should be renamed the 'free bumper' thread.

downtown23 06-01-2013 10:53 PM

This a very cool idea and is nice to see people actually doing it.

I read the original post, but how many parts other than bumpers have been offered? :thumb:

Big Whiskey 06-01-2013 11:58 PM

I have the stock Dana 30 and Dana 44 diff covers. Nothing wrong with them. PM me if anyone is interested. I would just like the person who wants them to pay for shipping.

Too many free parts means nobody wants them.

I think he was just pointing out that everyone replaces their bumpers, therefore they will be the part offered most often.

MattK 06-02-2013 02:09 AM

Let's complain about free stuff...

Anyway, keep it up guys and gals! I hope to have some things to offer soon!

That's the American way isn't it?

Great to see something like this. Unfortunately I don't have any parts to contribute right now.
