Rear Seatbelt Bolts

Does anyone have any idea what size bolts go to the holes that fasten in the rear seat belts in a 91 yj with a family style roll bar? PO didn't have back seat belts in. I have tried 3/8 (too small) and 7/16 (too big) and m10 and m12 are too small and too big respectively? Is there something in between a 3/8 and 7/16 or the metrics?

They are 7/16" Fine Thread, not Coarse Thread.

No problem I just replaced mine a few months back. I had a hard time finding them but the NAPA Auto Parts Store in my town was able to order a few for me. Get a couple of 3/8" 7/16" and 5/16" Fine Threads, they pop up all over the place lol. I have even seen 1/2" fine threads being used for the front bumper mounts, always good to have a couple laying around.

By the way, make sure you get the Grade-8 Fine Threads, Grade-5 is sub-par for critical stress components like seatbelt hardware. They cost a little more, but it's a safety item ya know?

I am surprised everyone is changing bolts, mostly the nut just spins from rusted metal. Back it up with a nice piece of steel and put a close sized grade 8 bolt and nut in there, its gonna hold a seat belt in place.
