Good year! ;) I've got a '98 as well. Looks like you got about a 2" bl on there. I'd take that out and replace it with a 1.25" bl ASAP. Only like $100. And maybe look into a rampage frameless top or bestop (if you like the factory look).

Other than that jeep looks good!

Nice it reminds me of my current 98 when I first got it

Welcome to the forum

Awesome, and it looks like there are a few minor things to fix! The perfect kind of jeep!

bl... body lift? It has a 3" lift and 32" tires. 2.5L four-cylinder, 5 speed. Don't know much else technical about it yet... Still learning. Having to re learn standard in order to drive it. Will post specific questions about that in another thread.

See the giant rubber "pucks", more like towers in your case, in this picture?
They're right at the corners where the panted body meets the frame. That's a pretty massive body lift. You're going to want to have that swapped out to factory height or at least only 1-1.25inchs in combination with a 2-3inch spring lift at some point.

Thanks, I will keep that in mind. I will be doing work on her over the next few years until she is in the condition I want. Mechanical work first then I will work on the superficial elements.

whats wrong wit it mechanically?

PA Blondie 05-06-2013 12:47 PM

Other than the pinion seal needing replaced and the front diff looked at(leaking, might just be from the pinion seal) not sure yet. Need the time to give it a once over. Will probably need a new clutch.

I'd remove the milk jugs first. No cost and will look much better!

Post a picture of the suspension up. Shocks, springs, steering components. That 3" "lift" might be a 3" bl (body lift).
