I am having a problem with my front axle not having the same amount of torque as the back axle. I know the transfer case is turning the the drive shaft. I just don't know why this is happening. The jeep is a '94 YJ. Does anybody have an answer for me.

How are you determining the amount of torque? There really isnt anything to "slip" so power should be the same front and rear. The only thing that comes tomind right off the bat is somewhere down the line one of the axles assmblies was replaced? There are different gear ratios in each axle, which is a major no no.

I just got the jeep about a month ago. Went and got it stuck. I put it in four high and I heard a clicking noise and noticed that my front tires were kind of grabbing and the rear is still spinning at normal speed is that normal. I know this might sound a little stupid.

I was also not bottomed out and got back put it in 4 high the drive shaft grabbed put it back in 2 and made sure it free spun could it be that I have pneumatic lockers and that is not working.

Also how can you tell if there are two different gear ratios.

OK. From the top. What year and model Jeep is it? Do you know if it has lockers installed in either axle?
