Rock Rails compatable?

Hey, I have a 2013 JK Freedom Edition, which has the MOPAR rock rails factory installed. I just ordered a set of Dee ZeeŽ 3" Round UltraBlack Nerf Bars and when I mentioned it to my dad, and he told me to check if they can be bolted on over top of the MOPAR ones or not. I read the installation instructions, and it says that any prior installed ones must be removed. I already purchased the nerf bars and they are already on the way to me. Anybody know how to still bolt them on top? Maybe longer bolts or anything? I really like the look of these and the price was great. Would like to still be able to install them. Thanks!

Here's the links for both:

Rails already installed:

Rails I ordered:

Thanks a lot in advance!

The steps use the same holes as the factory rails. This is the limiting factor. They'll fit from the standpoint of final-resting-place, if you can get by the problem of them using the same mounting holes.

Your best bet is to wait until they arrive, lay them on jacks and raise them into place, and figure out what needs to be done.

I would think that it would be possible to replace the rail's stock bolts with longer bolts, bolt up the nerf bars in the same holes as the rails, with some sort of bushing or something in between the two. I'm just thinking out loud.

Do you really need NERF bars? I was in the same position as you. After a few weeks I realized the stock rails are actually very very good looking and nerf bars/steps just don't look right.

If you wind up not being able to use the nerf bars, would Ace Rock Rails be a possibility for your application? I think there are others, too, that will bolt over the factory rails.
